Flower Bomb!

Hey Guys!!!

Merry Christmas to all my readers and page visitors, i have over 15,000 pageviews so far and i am grateful for everyone who has stopped by at some point during the year to read my posts.

Floral print seperates are new in and fashion lovers including me have embraced it totally. I've had these seperates for a while but never worn them together. Thought to do that on this beautiful day to work and loved it!

When pairing print seperates, find an underlying theme that still makes you look co-ordinated. The basic colors here will be pink, lilac, navy and blush. You don't want to look all over the place.

Mellow Yellow, Tan + Honey

Happy Friday Guys,

Unfortunately i'm not so excited, feeling under the weather at the moment : (

Anyways onto today's post, i love the names of the new and contemporary colors today. Berry, teal, rust, tan, honey, aqua, emerald, coral, cobalt etc

Those names make colors sound so complicated and important lol!

But trust me when i say there is power in color!

Gone are the days we wore black, white and grey lol! Long gone!!!

This style post features me in 3 colors, i even sealed it with an orange lippy, : )

Velvet which happens to be the texture of this skirt is in this season so go get your's!

When i saw this blouse, it was love at first sight. The color and neckline cut intrigued me and i knew i had to have it. Its a lil' vintage-ish right?

Now interestingly, i didn't have any piece to pair it with so i had it stacked away for months. Then luck came my way and i came accross the skirt very recently and bought it because i knew it was "The One" for the blouse. I wanted a co-ordinated look and this is what i got : )

Do you guys think of the items in your closet when you shop ???

I think the answer should be yes and no... its nice to do some random buying without thinking cuz you never know when that skirt or dress will come in very handy. However, its important to think about the pieces in your closet sometimes so you can have pieces that compliment each other. You don't want to have odd clothes everywhere, its too tasking to figure them out.

 Have a great weekend guys

I Love Vintage, a lil' too much!

Hey People, happy wednesday to you : )

Anyone who knows me personally, probably knows my love for vintage pieces knows no bounds. I love thrifted stuff, while in school i had myself walk into stores off the high street looking for something different, something not trendy, something old!

I intend to sell vintage stuff on the blog at some point, so the love can go round. Interestingly, Nigerians are beginning to love vintage as well and a few people have started lines and stores dedicated to vintage stuff alone.

An easier way to acquire such amazing stuff is from the parents and this was the case with this blouse. My mum gave me this red polka dot blouse a few months ago and i fell in love with it instantly. The colour, the fit, the look....everything i want in a vintage blouse. I paired it with an equally vintage midi skirt to tie both together and achieve a look as 60's as possible lol!

I kept my accesories in the today hence the python skin effect collar and skinny black belt.....

The thing about vintage pieces is you have to be able to pull it off to avoid looking off lol! I know some very fashionable women who have vowed not to go that route at all but hey, live a little.....step of out of your bodycon zone and try a frumpy dress, a beautiful woman will always be a beautiful woman : 0 )

"Classic pieces never go out of vogue"

Ipod playing- i just wonder, do you ever, think of me, anymore, do you.... Neyo!

Lovely song, unfortunately no one sings stuff like that anymore : (

Before i forget, a special thanks to my beau for werking on these photos !

Peplum Fever

Hello Darlings!!!

How is life ??? Not feeling too myself today so i am blogging to feel better : )

If there is a trend that has been whored out this season, its the peplum trend. At some point i started to wonder why fashion decides to sleep with every girl on the street, at the office, at parties/events, in church or wherever lol!

The peplum trend is so all over the place hence the title of this post. Almost everyone is on it in tops, dresses and skirts which makes it a huge deal. Anyways my verdict on the trend is i love it in skirts and dresses but totally hate it in tops. I guess i am not that girly afterall : (

I got this leopard spots peplum dress recently and fell in love with the style of peplum it came in. For me, a little twist in trend singles out your piece from the bulk of them on the street so invest in such pieces my friends.

I accesorized with silver pieces to finish off my look this day, enjoy!

I particularly love this Vintage neckpiece

Keep the peplum fever going until the next big thing kicks it out of the way and have a fashionable weekend !!!

Fab Tuesday

Hello dears,

My obsession for colors and prints has not stopped and i am totally fine with that. Matching this electric blue blazer with floral detail and this beaut clash-on-print vintage skirt was the fab thing about last week Tuesday.

A shot of mustard with the tank gave the outfit  a certain fun and playful vibe, trust me when i say these colors affect your mood, you simply cannot be moody in this ensemble.

Shooting in the sun&heat was quite frustrating, i infact looked angry in almost all the photos, i had to select a few that i did'nt have the 'can we get out of here already look' lol! On days like that i actually miss Aberdeen....forever cold!

Style Post: Neon Orange and Stripes

Hey Guys,

How was your weekend ???  Mine was short lived so i cannot wait for this weekend to come by already lol! Anywhoo, its the last month of the year and i thank God for how far he has kept me, you and the blog : )

A thankful heart is like medicine to the soul indeed

In style matters, Striped skirts have been in for a while because they are sexy, flirty and enhance the goodies for those who have them! I fell in love with this body con number and spotted it to work over a month ago.

Asides from the obvious stares at my backside which i was'nt too happy about, i thought it was a simple and nice look.

I want to try the skirt with different colors of tops as the combination (black and white) is very flexible and works just fine!

Neon Blouse- Dorothy Perkins
Body con skirt- Ms selfridge

Have yourselves a wonderful week
