Lace.Midi.Vintage.

Hey Guys!!!

Happy new year to y'all. Hope you guys had a good holiday season.

Well 2013 is here and its time to set the tone for the year, in every aspect of life and with God on our side plus hardwork, testimonies are on the way!

I wore this beaut! dress gifted to me for my birthday last year, to an engagement party last weekend. Loved the style, length, fit, everything, i guess that's the reason its mine lol!

I hate people in my background but these pictures were taken in a hurry so bear with me....

There was a vintage meet at this point haha!

It was more of a concert than an engagement, Lagos people tho!

Have a nice evening

PS: i started wearing spectacles.....

I Love Vintage, a lil' too much!

Hey People, happy wednesday to you : )

Anyone who knows me personally, probably knows my love for vintage pieces knows no bounds. I love thrifted stuff, while in school i had myself walk into stores off the high street looking for something different, something not trendy, something old!

I intend to sell vintage stuff on the blog at some point, so the love can go round. Interestingly, Nigerians are beginning to love vintage as well and a few people have started lines and stores dedicated to vintage stuff alone.

An easier way to acquire such amazing stuff is from the parents and this was the case with this blouse. My mum gave me this red polka dot blouse a few months ago and i fell in love with it instantly. The colour, the fit, the look....everything i want in a vintage blouse. I paired it with an equally vintage midi skirt to tie both together and achieve a look as 60's as possible lol!

I kept my accesories in the today hence the python skin effect collar and skinny black belt.....

The thing about vintage pieces is you have to be able to pull it off to avoid looking off lol! I know some very fashionable women who have vowed not to go that route at all but hey, live a little.....step of out of your bodycon zone and try a frumpy dress, a beautiful woman will always be a beautiful woman : 0 )

"Classic pieces never go out of vogue"

Ipod playing- i just wonder, do you ever, think of me, anymore, do you.... Neyo!

Lovely song, unfortunately no one sings stuff like that anymore : (

Before i forget, a special thanks to my beau for werking on these photos !

ROAR!!! Leopards in Jumpsuits

Aloha folks,

Hope the week has been good so far! i recently went to the jungle and guess what, Leopards had jumpsuits on! Yup....not kidding!

Okay, maybe a little....*now looking away*

Animal Prints have been in trend from last year as we saw a lot on celebs like the kardashian sisters, Sarah Jessica Parker, the Olsen sisters and many more!

They are dramatic therefore always cause a stir when worn, but are definitely beautiful. I got a good bargain at my friends store, of a casual Persian leopard print jumpsuit and wore it to lunch with the boo

Jumpsuit- Be Beau
there's something about animal print that just makes you feel jungle...lol

Ring- Greece local market; Sport watch/ Bangles- Next; Purse- Ghana local market

Neckpiece- Oasis

i am looking unto the hills, from whence cometh my help!

i had these gorge police sunglasses on at some point, you can shop various styles on their website

i like this purse because of the color and style, very vintage

Rubber flats- Dollhouse; see my post on rubber flats here

Jumpsuits i love because they accentuate the curves of a woman (if she has any lol) and makes her look mature.

Jumpsuits also hide the extra baggage like a pot belly and what not....that is not to say you shouldn't keep your body banging oooo!

i have been in a lot of print stuff lately- jewellery, shoes, clothes, you have seen some and should see more.

Its funny because i never rocked them when they were trending 100%; i hate to follow trends!

By the way, i hooked on to bloglovin and lookbook.nu today!

I'm really getting serious about this blog this year lol!  i'd finish the process soon enough so you can enjoy my posts via both amazing conduits

i have to go....i'm literally dozing!

My Holiday Moments - Part 2

hey honnies,

So remember the post on my holiday moments here??? Okay the sequel is here, pls sit back and enjoy Part 2!!!

My friends had a new year day party at theirs and yours truly was invited....it was held at their beautiful home later in the evening so i thought laid back and playful will be my style to the get together

Trust Nigerian girls to dust the bottom of their boxes as they knew the crowd that'll grace the party lol! However, some girls did the minimal thing and looked perfect....way to go lovelies!

The situation makes me hope and pray that someday Nigerian girls will learn how to dress appropriately to events

Without further ado, this was my get up....

Navy cargo croppped pants- B2C clothing
                               Clutch- vintage store in Abz

Meet the party owners....lol

Permit me to say i would have had more fun if a few things were right but lets just say it was good lol

Onto the next day, the fam got invited to lunch at my brothers! i was uber xcited when i got the message because i do not  just love food but i looovvvve free food

Homegirl thought it was the perfect time to debut my preety navy sheer wrap skirt my sis gave me a few days before....she hates it but i love it and im sure you will too, its sexy!

warning...the images you are about to see could be a bit distracting...lol

its a very feminine skirt, women should have one of these whilst going on a holiday, if you know what i mean... it accentuates the goodies, its light and very comfy

As much as i hate to repeat clothes often....the love i have for this piece will definitely make you see it sometime soon

Special thanks to my favourite wafers- Tango chocolate for making me finish off this post despite headache.com

Have a fun weekend folks
