Cold Crush

Hallos everyone,

Its a cold morning in Lagos and i am totally okay with that. I promised a personal style post in my last post and here it is.

Polka Dots are a trend that i absolutely adore as i don't possess that much girly-ness on a good day so it helps me look like a happy lady (if that makes any sense). Ankle/Midi length pencil skirts are also very feminine and make me reckon that my style is kind of more mature and minimalist these days.

Though hard to walk in, especially when worn with heels, it is all so elegant. For a woman with curves, say YES to ankle length skirts that embrace your curves!

Outfit Details

I like it when the wind takes over in my photos.... i usually beg the wind.

Taking them braids out this weekend, i have had enough lol! I also hope the weather stays this cool, so i can have a restful weekend!

Have a fashionable one

I Love Vintage, a lil' too much!

Hey People, happy wednesday to you : )

Anyone who knows me personally, probably knows my love for vintage pieces knows no bounds. I love thrifted stuff, while in school i had myself walk into stores off the high street looking for something different, something not trendy, something old!

I intend to sell vintage stuff on the blog at some point, so the love can go round. Interestingly, Nigerians are beginning to love vintage as well and a few people have started lines and stores dedicated to vintage stuff alone.

An easier way to acquire such amazing stuff is from the parents and this was the case with this blouse. My mum gave me this red polka dot blouse a few months ago and i fell in love with it instantly. The colour, the fit, the look....everything i want in a vintage blouse. I paired it with an equally vintage midi skirt to tie both together and achieve a look as 60's as possible lol!

I kept my accesories in the today hence the python skin effect collar and skinny black belt.....

The thing about vintage pieces is you have to be able to pull it off to avoid looking off lol! I know some very fashionable women who have vowed not to go that route at all but hey, live a little.....step of out of your bodycon zone and try a frumpy dress, a beautiful woman will always be a beautiful woman : 0 )

"Classic pieces never go out of vogue"

Ipod playing- i just wonder, do you ever, think of me, anymore, do you.... Neyo!

Lovely song, unfortunately no one sings stuff like that anymore : (

Before i forget, a special thanks to my beau for werking on these photos !

Switch things up a Lil'

Happy Monday Guys !!!

Hope everyone's weekend rocked. I spent mine moving boxes of clothes down a flight of stairs and up another, my shoulders still hurt : (

In other news, i'm in the process of cutting my hair as i want to grow it out natural... a girl needs a hawt fro : ) so technically im tired of this current hair cut (as usual).

I decided to switch things up a little by tying a lil turban on my very vintage dress to church on Sunday.... here's how that panned out

Pls don't ask me how i did it because i just did... i never learn how to do anything (singing, dancing, cooking, buying etc), i just try my hands on it and it works out just fine lol (genius aint it)

The dress is so vintage.. it hides all em curves i know...but its poker dot with lace collar style details so i love it !  My photographer was crap so i did'nt get a full length photo lol!

Have a blessed week

the weeknd

Last weekend was so funfilled !

It was a famille friend's wedding on saturday and an older friend's house warming and birthday thing on sunday so i had excuses to spot my two new dresses to both events yaaay.

The wedding reception was fun (as is most Lagos weddings filled with puff puff and small chops (my favy).

We (my cousin and jay) munched and enjoyed the music as we watched the couple boogey down on their happy day.  Well planned weddings can be really emotional, the bride looked so excited !

Onto the outfits....

Dress - New Look

I was gifted this dress by my boo, it reminds me of this illusion dress Alicia Keys wore recently to an event just that hers is body con and longer while mine is structured and shorter. I love it : )

i love her shoes !

Bag/Accesories - New Look

I was gifted this ring by my darling friend Busola (one of the very few people that know what i like), She's getting married next month and i'm too excited....i finally found a style to sew with the lace material she picked out for her friends.... it shall be major fun !

My cousin was not left out in the style department, in her gorge polka dot jumpsuit which i fancied. I kinda like it when people go against the norm : ) cuz ordinarily you won't think about wearing a jumpsuit to a wedding.

In my opinion, fuller girls nail the jumpsuit trend like no other

Navy Jumpsuit with belt - River Island
Shoes and Clutch- New Look

We finally left around 7pm, God bless the union of my dear Bisi and her hubby!

My Shoes - my latest obsession (steve madden)
His Shoes- Qbcool (available on order)

And then on Sunday, i wore this dress also given to me by a nutty girl i love lol !

It was a launching launching weekend as you can see.....its always so cool when you wear stuff given to you, especially stuff you like.

LBD - H&M
Jwellry- (freedom) Topshop
 Cheers to fun times
