Fierce Verdict - SAG Awards

Hello Darlings,

This post was meant to have been put up since Monday, i blame it on work and internet issues. Its the awards season and the fashion police in me is always very excited to see which of my fave stars is wearing what on the red carpet.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards happened last weekend, From my observation, Monochromes and the Black & White trend stole the show as stars shone bright like diamonds in them. i should put up a post on the Black and White trend real soon, love it!

Here are a few looks i liked, Head to toe!

Claire Danes in Givenchy

Love her dress, love her lippy...she looks amazinggg!!! She definitely doesn't look like the crazy Carey in Homeland.

Nina Dobrev in Ellie Saab

By far my favorite of the night, Nina has a way of killing it on the red carpet in a subtle yet elegant way, way to go Elena !!!

Kerry Washington in Rodarte

Kerry has had an amazing career lately, i fancy the way she transfers that vibe to the red carpet, homegirl is fast becoming a muse!

Naomi Watts in Marchesa

This amazing child star is a fave of mine in Mad Men, growing up to be a fine young woman. Her dress is age appropriate, pretty and fun.

Justin Timberlake in Tom Ford

Justin looks dapper in this plaid suit, love the combination with the classic white shirt, he looks like the million bucks he is. I like the way he avoided the regular tux which happens to be the norm, this is all so stylish!

I should put up a personal style post before this week runs out, until then its nothing but love for you guys.

PS: I am so glad January has come to an end, its been such a long drive lol!

Its Ms Modish,

Runway Report - Day 4 Of MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week

Hey  fiercefam,

How was the weekend ???

I needed to do this post asap as the pictures were growing too old without been put up.

I attended Day 4 (the final day) of the MTN Lagos Fashion and Design week and though i did'nt get an opportunity to style at the event (despite the emails i sent to the so-called person in charge), i enjoyed a few shows from a few designers and will love to share these with you.

Josh Samuels (winner of the young talents category)

The collection blew me away and reminded of life in the 60's as simulated by series like Mad Men or Boardwalk Empire. It was a clean display of retro, plaids, preppy and 60's stuff. In my opinion, he totally deserved the prize/award.

Old religion was inspired by the same elements as the collection featured neon colors, brights, vintage and plaid stuff as well.

Vintage Collete had long flowy and lace pieces

Sunny Rose had fun and feminine pieces in sheer, denim and pastel colors

Grey gave me life with burgundy, army green, lemon, pink, red and white pieces, sheer, frills, pleats, ruffles, flirty, lace and seperates. There was a lot of stuff to pick from as the collection leaned towards formal to event to play dresses.

Alter Ego came after with color, print and a mix of textures, i found the velvet/net/lace combo interesting (positively that is lol)

Other designers who showed were mathew williamson, lanre da silva ajayi and jewel by lisa.
Now, to what we wore.....

So i had three options to choose from but ended up picking this cuz i felt the fun and funky vibe when i tried it on. The denim and floral print combo was working for me and coral splash, perfect for a night of fashion. Threw my hair in a bun and off i went.

Meet my photographer for the night....

I wonder what life will be without fashion, it was a great night : ) Until later, have a great and fashionable week
